I firmly support the idea that the Japanese government should accept more foreign workers on the ground that working populations are decreasing in Japan and there are fewer job openings in other countries due to overpopulation.
First, the aging society and low birthrates have been growing concerns in Japan. It is estimated that one-third of the population will be over 75 in the next decade, which results in a serious labor shortage. Foreign workers will play an important role in supporting the Japanese economy.
Second, the global population is increasing at a rapid rate, especially in developing countries. Indeed, the population growth has a positive effect on the economy, however, more and more young people are unemployed.
In conclusion, both Japan and other countries face the societal problem about the population growth. If Japan accepts more foreign workers, both sides will mutually benefit.
